Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

The 10K Run in London is more than just a fun run. For me, this distance also symbolises my ten-year journey together with the HIV community - a journey full of personal challenges as well as opportunities to support others.

Over ten years ago, a friend of mine got sick as a result of HIV/AIDS. More and more people came along and I chose to dedicate as much time as I could to supporting them through sharing my knowledge with them as well as learning from them.   I am endlessly grateful to those who encouraged me to do so in particular ‘NGO Anti-AIDS’, Penza, Russia, as well as the ‘Harm Reduction Project’ in Riga, Latvia and St Petersburg, and ‘AIDS Foundation’ in Moscow, ‘Alliance of People living with HIV’, Kiev, Ukraine, as well as ECPP and NAM, UK.

The 10K Run in London is another opportunity for me to raise awareness of how much is still needed and can be done for prevention of HIV and care for people affected, despite all the achievements so far. Like in sport, there are no limits for improvement and there is a continuing need for support and encouragement.

A lack of up-to-date information on prevention of HIV,  inadequate treatment options and stigma and discrimination against people living with and affected by HIV were and still are the main challenges within the community in Russia where I used to live.  I have chosen to run 10km for NAM because, for almost 10 years, I have witnessed how much the organisation does to address these issues in communities like mine and countless others in Russia, Europe and around the world.
