Charity

The Daisy Garland
A family-run national children’s charity providing active support for children with drug-resistant epilepsy and their parents/carers. The charity was set up in memory of our daughter Daisy who tragically died at 6 years of age from SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy patients). We provide NHS hospitals with ketogenic dietitians - a medically recognised and accepted way of treating drug resistant epilepsy. This diet is not widely available on the NHS due to lack of funding. We also provide grants for night-time breathing monitors to children with drug-resistant epilepsy.

As you'll all know, our wee Sam has a rare & undiagnosed condition. Part of this is epilepsy which I'm sure every one of you can imagine is terrifying to deal with not to mention heartbreaking.

The Daisy Garland are an amazing charity that fundraise to provide epilepsy alarms for children's beds to keep them safe at night time by alerting their parents if their child is having a seizure. The NHS cannot fund these very expensive alarms and they rely on donations.

The Daisy Garland needs you!!
We are looking for as many lovely people as possible to join in our Sugar Free February.
Can you resist temptation for 28 days and give up sweets, chocolates, cakes etc. all to raise money for children in the UK with difficult to control epilepsy?
We're desperately raising funds at the moment to keep our Daisy Dietitians in place and to fund night-time breathing monitors and every penny counts.
Please post your name below or send us a PM today to add your name to the list :-)
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT. xx

We want to help them raise more money so we are joining the Daisy Garland Sugar Free February challenge!

28 days of giving up sweets, chocolates, cakes etc. all to raise money for children in the UK with difficult to control epilepsy - they are desperately raising funds for breathing monitors and for ketogenic dietitians and every penny counts.

For those that know us well they will realise that this is a MASSIVE commitment for us to kick the sweet stuff.
