CRASH
CRASH is the construction industry’s charity. We are a unique, practical charity that creates, renovates and constructs caring environments for vulnerable people in homelessness and hospice charities. We do this by offering pro bono professional expertise, sourcing building materials and the technical knowledge to use them and awarding cash grants sourced from our Patron companies.

The Team: STREBEL

Stephen Blunsten, Andy Devlin, Steve Baker, Peter Spurway.

The Cause: CRASH, the construction industry’s charity. CRASH are a small but practical charity that assists homelessness and hospice charities with construction related projects.

With your support only Team STREBEL have chosen to attempt something we have never done before, a 3 peak challenge - The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24-miles long, and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent in one day!!

This is going to be a real challenge for us as we are not the fittest or youngest. It's going to be cold, wet, windy and bloody hard. But this is for only one day, a taster of what some homeless people must go through everyday of there lives and over the last Christmas and winter months. We take for granted we have good jobs, with a loving family we all go home to at night and a roof over our heads. So this is one way we can help with that struggle.

We desperately need your support and money to give us the motivation we need and to do CRASH proud. We only have one month to raise our target of £250 so please give as much as you can.

In addition Peter unfortunately cannot no longer take part in the event as it coincides with other business commitments - but he is still doing his 22.5miles via mountain bike trail. Therefore, 15 year old Sam Baker (Steve Bakers son!) from Ormston Bolingbrook academy high school has stepped in and will be taking his place on the team and will be on hand to take photographs of the team as they go!

The Challenge: To virtually cover 90 miles (distance between ICOM HQ & CRASH HQ) by:

The distance of 22.5 miles per person will be covered in January and February only.

Please sponsor us for every mile we cover or donate to our chosen cause.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
