Happy Days Childrens Charity
Happy Days Childrens Charity provides holidays and day trips for special needs children across the entire u.k. age 3 - 17. To date we have helped over 100,000 children. The children have either ongoing chronic health conditions, acute/life limiting conditions/victims of abuse or neglect and children who have experienced trauma. The holidays are mainly u.k. based, but some special ones are overseas. The day trips are varied and can be to a theme park, zoo or theatre. All the children gain so much from a positive experience, and sadly need all the help and joy we can help to offer them in what is often a very uncertain future for many of them. Please help us to bring some joy into a childs life, every penny raised will help.

Hi guys. As part of my ongoing quest for self improvement, I have decided to cycle, on my own, from John O' Groats to Land's End. Because I squander all my ill gotten gains in pubs and burritto pig-out joints my budget is extraodinarily limited, so I will be camping the duration, in my £50 tent. I have never cycled further than 30kms. I will need to average around 150km a day to complete this challenge in the alloted time of 10 days (or risk getting fired from my place of employment). I am overweight, remarkably malcoordinated and desperately ill equipped both mentally and physically for the task at hand.

I therefore urge, nay beg you, to root around in your pockets and send a couple of quid my way to help raise some money for charity and help encourage me that I'm not killing myself for no good reason.

The charity's a good 'un (hand picked by yours truly). They help give children with disabilties the chance to experience something they wouldn't normally be able to do, be it wing walking, rock climbing, or just a day out at a theme park (probs more the last one). Experiencing as much as you can from life is a philosophy close to my heart so I hope you'll join me in helping the little fellas out.

I'll be updating a blog prior to departure with photos and stories of my preparations (or lack thereof), and I will produce a daily diary once I'm back and suitably recovered from the gallons of saline solution the pretty girl in the white dress has pumped through my body. You can see all the details on our website The1001Club.com.

Many thanks in advance for your generosity
