Farm Africa
FARM-Africa is a different kind of charity working to end hunger and bring prosperity to rural Africa. For too long, Africa has struggled with the problems of hunger and poverty. Again and again, images of famine have challenged the world to end this human tragedy, but still it happens. Today, with climate change to deal with too, the need is more urgent than ever. FARM-Africa is helping Africa’s farmers to end this cycle of despair. We’re there, on the ground, ensuring farmers have the equipment and know how to manage their land more effectively Working shoulder to shoulder with farmers, we help the best farming techniques take root and spread so there’s food not just this harvest, but every harvest We bridge communities, governments and businesses so that farmers can not only grow food but also sell it too, so that African farmers can take charge of their future and build better lives.

A team of 6 brave conquerors decided to attack the highest mountain in North Africa, Mount Toubkal (4167 m) in Morocco. The trek to the summit is challenging but not technical. The mountaineers will follow scree paths and enter wild territories without any path on the way to the summit.

The team consists of Annamaria Fuzy (HU), Charles Matt (US), Gergely Bangocs (HU), Thomas Hofer (CH), Arjan Schep (NL) and Damian Arquint (CH). Find pictures and descriptions in the photo gallery.

The Project we support:

Kitooro batakaka twimuke is a women’s group found in Kasenda sub county, Uganda. There are 22 women and 8 men in the group. The group was formed in 2009 and their main objective was to supplement their small household incomes from maize and bean production with a savings and credit component so that they are able to borrow and start income generating activities like basket weaving and baking.

Their plan is to strive and acquire more knowledge and skills in improved maize production, improve their yields and consequently income for the individual farmer and their group. They have a common vision of buying land and start a 2 dairy cow zero grazing unit since they usually have a lot of maize stalks that can be used to feed the cows. This will raise their incomes, ensure a pass over of the offspring to individual group members and use the cow dung and urine to improve the soil fertility.

Upcoming events:

  • Trinity All Stars live on stage, October 11 in the Victory Hall (www.victoryproduction.ch). Don't miss the first public Gig with surprise guests.
