My page:

Hi, my name is Zamzam. I am running the Virgin London Marathon on behalf of The Running Charity.

I competed in the London 2012 Olympics for my country, but I became a refugee after receiving threats to my life just because I love sport.

I was housed in a home for homeless young people whose staff cared for me and introduced me to The Running Charity.

I have since moved out and found employment, but The Running Charity provided me with a mentor to continue my passion for running as well as the opportunity to run one of the world's most iconic marathons.

Gender should never be a barrier to sport and I will hold that belief with me as I run through the incredible city of London.
