The Happy Africa Foundation - The Happy Africa Foundation's mission is to empower the African people through the support of community and conservation based initiatives that operate at grass roots level. It aims to promote for the benefit of the public in Africa the conservation, protection, and improvement for the physical and natural environment. Donations made to support Happy Africa's local community and environmental projects are managed and distributed by The Happy Africa Foundation (THAF). The foundation is dedicated to creating partnerships with donors and charitable organisations to facilitate resources for and to implement social change and environmental sustainability. Hi, thanks for visiting my page. I returned from a volunteering trip in Zimbabwe in January where I worked on a conservation project and on a community project primarily with the local orphanage. I am going back in December and want to help with the funding of the community projects before I do.

My mission is to raise a minimum of €22,000/£19,000/$30,000 to help refurbish the local schools and orphanages and buy them necessary supplies.

Some of the projects this money will go to are:

  1. Extending a primary school where 110 children use 1 classroom and 2 toilets. Construction will be of 2 classrooms, toilets, kitchen block, store room and community hall which the school can then use to generate an income
  2. Improving the water supply at the orphanage by purchasing 2 water tanks and necessary piping
  3. Developing a computer lab in a second school with 8 new computers which will assist students and also mean the school can teach IT lessons to generate an income

  • A benefit and raffle night at the Greyhound Track in Limerick on Saturday 16th April.....€3,692 / £3,171.99

  • A sponsored walk over hot coals at Crokers Bar, Murroe, Co Limerick on Saturday 4th June.....€14,427 / £12,601.86
  • A raffle and music night in O'Dwyers, Cappamore, Co. Limerick on Saturday 27th August.....€750 / £648.96
  • A sponsored walk over hot coals in Limerick city on Saturday 3rd September....€2,510 / £2,146.17
  • Via Sinead Culliton. My amazing friend Sinead has signed up for six 10km runs this year and has generously asked for all sponsorship to go to this cause, so thanks very much Sinead, you're a star. Good luck with completing one in under 60 minutes!!.....€102.60 / £90

All of my events will take place in Ireland but you can donate from any country.
