Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People.
Bring love, smiles and laughter to our children’s lives. Just like everyone else, our children need a place to play, laugh and love life. A place where they and their families are cared for and supported. Welcome to Rainbows, the East Midlands’ hospice for children and young people. Sadly, some children simply don’t live long enough. Since 1994 we’ve opened our doors and hearts to those children and the people who love them most. And now more than ever, we need your help to keep on bringing hope and happiness to our children and families. As the East Midlands’ only hospice for children and young people, Rainbows is a place where life limited children and their families can take a break from life’s worries and heartaches. Our incredible team of people helps relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, support parents and siblings through the darkest of bereavements and care for children until the end. From carers to counsellors, medical professionals to palliative care specialists. It’s our people that are at the heart of Rainbows. It costs Rainbows £3.8 million each year to provide care for life-limited children. We receive very little government funding, so any support you give is vital. Dig deep as any amount can make a huge difference.

Help for Heroes
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."
