Charity
The Whitehawk Inn, is a Brighton based, award winning charity, has been chosen as one of only six Official Local Charities for the 2012 Brighton Marathon. The Whitehawk Inn, current holder of The Argus Appeal’s ‘Charity of the Year ‘and Brighton & Hove Council’s ‘Best Community Initiative’ awards, works tirelessly to offer those residents of Brighton & Hove who have, for some reason, ‘lost their way’ or are ‘searching for a new direction’ every chance possible to find their new life. As a community led organisation, the charity’s dedicated and passionate workforce provide information and advice about learning and work, offering a range of support activities for adults. The Centre itself is a bright, local community hub that provides visitors and learners with an inspirational environment in which to spend time with people who genuinely want to help them to move forward. In just over a decade, The Whitehawk Inn has helped more than 7,400 people. 70% of whom live in an area of deprivation and 92% have known barriers to participation that result in social exclusion, poverty, low educational attainment and skill levels, poor work prospects, poor health and family breakdown. Inside just three years The Whitehawk Inn supported 200 people back to work and thus resulted in a reported improvement in their quality of life, including increased self-confidence, motivation and a feeling of being more connected to others in the community.

Kirsty Dillon's fundraising page
Kirsty Dillon moved to Brighton four years ago; she loves it and calls it home. Originally a 'Pompey girl' her football allegiances have not yet joined to the seagulls and NEVER will!!
She started acting professionally 13 yrs ago and has enjoyed a steady career in Film, TV, Stage and Voice-Overs!
She is best known for her role, as WPC Gail Stephens in ITV’s Midsomer Murders where she appeared for 3 years. Although her time there was a big success, she counts other roles as more creatively fulfilling such as ‘The Man That Broke Britain’: an improvised film in which she worked with Bafta nominated Director Gabriel Range.
She recently finished playing in the world premiere of the much debated 'Constance', the 'Lost script' of Oscar Wilde, at The Kings Head Theatre, London.
Kirsty counts running as one of her main sources of Rest and Relaxation but has never run over ten miles and is worried that her knees won’t hold out!!
