Willow Foundation
Willow is the only national charity working with seriously ill 16 to 40 year olds to fulfil uplifting and unforgettable Special Days. For some their Special Day is the opportunity to return some normality to their lives. For others it is the last chance to fulfil a dream. But for all, it is a life-affirming experience that can lift spirits, reunify families and be a source of strength when it’s needed most. To date, Willow has provided more than 11,500 Special Days for young adults diagnosed with a life-threatening condition such as cancer, motor neurone disease, cystic fibrosis and Huntington’s disease.
Only 0 days to go!

My page:

Thanks for visiting my page.

3 years ago after running the Willow 10k I said I would never run a 10k again.. Then I ran countless more saying I would never run a Half Marathon - then ran two in the last year. I said after both, I could never run a full Marathon, but low and behold - it looks like I am running a Marathon in six months time.

I am running in memory of all those have been lost to us with a terminal illness, for those who have lost a loved one and those who have battled with an illness and survived.

I am not a natural born runner. Running is something I have to force, so training for this and running the 26.2 miles will be a physical and emotional rollarcoaster for me.

I will be running a few races in the lead up to the big day including London Winter Run, Hampton Court Half Marathon and North London Half Marathon. I'm sure more will be added to keep me on track and focused.

Any donations, small or large are greatly received. Your support for me and this charity will give me the strength and determination to cross the finish line.
