Charity

Raleigh International Trust
Raleigh International is a sustainable development charity. We harness the passion and energy of young people to effect positive change in sustainable development. Our programmes focus on providing access to safe water and sanitation, protecting vulnerable environments and building resilient communities. Our work is delivered through young people and is a collaboration between local communities, partners and volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds, nationalities and life stages. We operate in partnership with communities, non-governmental organisations and governments in Borneo, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, India and Tanzania. Since our foundation as a charity in 1984, Raleigh volunteers have become a global community of more than 40,000 people committed to building a sustainable future.

Hello!

I am about to undertake a challenge that no man has ever done before. I will be changing how we see the world, altering your perception of how you see the very fabric of reality...

Well, not really, but I am going to cycle really really far for charity and I would love for all you good people who have made it this far to sponsor me!

Well, that was then, and this is now. Seems a long time ago I wrote that, but I did squeeze in 4000km to get from London to Istanbul so I guess it flew a bit.

As you all know I didn't get quite as far as I had hoped, but I am eternally grateful I made it back in one piece and didn't create an international incident somewhere in the Badlands! I am however frighteningly short on my total of £2000 so if you can find it in your pockets to drop Raleigh a few pennies, then please do on the right here! -------->>>

I'm raising for Raleigh International Trust:

A great charity that supports young people from all backgrounds to see to the construction of hundreds of education facilities, bridges and water systems commissioned, health and community centres built together with the health screening of tens of thousands of people in Borneo, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and India. They work closely with local authority youth services and agencies across the UK, including Fairbridge, Groundwork, and Foyer Federation.

Thankyou for all your support. And please apply Gift Aid if you can! This makes your donation worth a third more at no extra cost to you.

Your Seoul brother,

Joe
