Steve Couzens

Kent Association For The Blind
KAB supports sight impaired people to live independent lives. We are the main providers of help and support for blind and partially-sighted people throughout Kent, Medway and Bromley, with over 15,000 people using our services. We work with adults, children, people with learning disabilities, people who are deafblind or have other multiple disabilities, and we also offer advice and help to their families, friends and work colleagues. It can take time to adjust to changing circumstances. Our experienced staff give a highly personalised service and find ways to overcome the difficulties and encourage people to lead fulfilling lives, whatever their interests. As well as emotional support, we provide sight impairment registration, explanation of your eye condition and its effects, assessment of individual needs, advice on benefits and concessions, help with low vision aids, and advice on special equipment and minor adaptations. Training and advice can be given on independent living, to help mobility, communication, computer skills, returning to the workplace, and leisure and hobbies. We run courses on cooking and daily living skills, and also produce a free regional news service, Kent Talking News, which is distributed to 2,000 households in our area. Your support for our work makes a huge difference. Thank you.

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting my page.

I am running the London Marathon on 23rd April 2017 to raise money for Kent Association for the Blind, who offer support to sight impaired people to enable them to live independant lives.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
