After losing my Dalmatian to cancer I vowed I would not get another dog after having them all my life, however the house was quiet and empty without being greeted every morning Or whenever I left the house with that unconditional love they always give. I then decided to do dog boarding to sort of feel normal again, one of my first dogs was a Ridgeback called Max. I had never came across the breed before so didn't know what to expect. At first I thought there was something wrong with him? Why isn't he bothered about going for a walk? What's wrong with his belly that he feels the need to display it and all his bits when he sleeps? Is he overheating or something? Does he have something wrong with his head as he constantly has it on a table resting or any surface he can find to put it on ?? Needless to say after I researched the breed it all fell into place and that was it, fell hook line and sinker....I lasted 6 month and found a reputable  breeder after speaking to the Rescue and hence I have a Woody. This boy is my best mate and couldn't think of my life without him. I would like to raise some funds for this fantastic charity who give it their all to rehome those who have lost their way for one reason or another . My heart breaks for each and every one of them now knowing how soft, gentle, sensitive and loyal they are yet end up in rescue centres. I shall do the Great North Run with pride having the Midlands and Northern Ridgeback Rescue name on my Tshirt . Thank you again for visiting my page
