Birmingham Children's Hospital
Birmingham Children’s Hospital is one of only four specialist Children’s Hospitals in the UK. As well as providing first class general paediatric services to children in the West Midlands, we treat some of the sickest children in the country and provide some of the most highly specialised services in the country. Charitable donations support and enhance the services of Birmingham Children’s Hospital by helping to fund additional facilities and equipment, supporting medical research and providing the extras that make being in hospital a more comfortable and less distressing experience for children and their families. Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a centre of excellence. With your support we can keep it that way and ensure that it continues to care for our children whilst working to research, prevent, and cure childhood illnesses.
The Histiocytosis Research Trust
The Histiocytosis Research Trust was set up as a registered charity in 1991 and is dedicated to promoting and funding scientific research into uncovering not only the causes of the histiocytosis diseases, Langerhans' Cell Histiocytosis and Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis, but also ensuring early diagnosis, effective treatment and a cure. The Trust also aims to support patients and their families as well as raise public and professional awareness about histiocytic disorders. We have an independent scientific review board which allocates funds to vital research projects. To date, The Trust has funded a significant number of research projects. The H R Trust is closely linked to the Nikolas Symposium, an annual conference attended by leading doctors and scientists from all over the world and also has ties to The Artemis Association, The Histiocyte Society, Euro Histionet and The Histiocytosis Association of America.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Violet was 5 years old when she was diagnosed with a rare and little known about disease called HLH http://www.hrtrust.org/

Violet was a beautiful little girl with a big character and is very much loved and missed by her mum and dad Kerry and Ivan, her sisters Molly Caitlin and Beth and her brother Matt.  She has a large extended family of uncles aunties nannys and grandads who adored her.

We are helping to raise awareness by fundraising and have just completed two events.  The children in Violets class did a 2km fun run in Lichfield wearing Ultra Vi teeshirts.  Lindsay Harrison a mum of a child in Violets class ran the 10km and Team Violet a group of 35 family and friends of the Mornington family conquered Mount Snowdon on Saturday Sept 14th.

The children of St Stephens School in Fradley have also be hard at work doing jobs at home to raise pennies to fill a smartie tube. This raised over £350 pounds.

Friday September 20th was Histiocytosis Awareness Day and the staff and children of Animal Crackers Day Nursery and St Stephens School participated in a Wear Blue Day.

The craft fayre we held on the 31st October went really well! Thankyou to all that attended

A quiz night is being organised currently for December and we are working on large scale ideas for next year.

It is all going on with plenty more to come.  Please carry on giving where you can.

Please keep on checking this page and others for further details and thank you very very much for helping.
