RNLI
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 23 people a day around the coasts and waterways of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. From 235 lifeboat stations, they are well trained and equipped to put to sea in the most fearsome conditions when the call comes. RNLI lifeguards patrol more than 200 beaches in the UK. As well as rescuing people from the water, they are also on hand for first aid and safety advice, making sure everyone can make the most of their day at the beach. Are you passionate about the water? Do you want to be part of a lifesaving team? Whatever the reason for your interest in our work, we’d love to have you onboard. The RNLI is an independent charity and receives no government funding. We rely on public support.

2015 in 2015 - Sea Kayaking Around Scotland

Fundraiser:
Nick Ray

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/2015in2015

Hello and thank you for visiting my page.

At the beginning of May 2015 I embark on a 2015 mile sea kayak journey around the coastline of Scotland with the aim of visiting each of the 47 R.N.L.I. lifeboat stations.

This is a major undertaking involving kayaking along remote stretches of coast and some committing open water crossings. I will be undertaking this challenge as a solo venture.

You can keep up to date with my progress as I prepare for my challenge by visiting my blog at: http://2015in2015journey.blogspot.co.uk/

Rest assured that my safety is my upmost concern and that I am a highly experienced sea kayaker. I will be fully prepared for this venture and will have every eventuality prepared for.

The R.N.L.I. have assessed my plans for this challenge and authorise me to be fund raising on their behalf.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me for the journey around Scotland that I am about to undertake. Donations will be quickly processed and passed to the R.N.L.I.. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
