Macmillan Cancer Support
At Macmillan, we know cancer can affect everything. Your body, your relationships, your money, everything. But Macmillan is here to help people live life, no matter what. We give you the support you need to hold on to who you are and what’s important. But right now, we can’t reach everyone who needs us. Almost half of us will get cancer, and we need your help to make sure that people get the support they need to face one of the toughest fights of their lives. Life with cancer is still life -let’s help people live it. We are a charity registered in England and Wales (261017), Scotland (SCO39907) and the Isle of Man (604).
Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust
Mesothelioma UK Charitable Trust exists to raise funds to support the vital services that the Mesothelioma UK Resource Centre gives to anyone affected by Mesothelioma. Mesothelioma UK, provides high quality, impartial and up-to-date support and information. It supports the development of a national network of trained and experienced nurse specialists. It promotes nurse-led research. It works in collaboration with charities, organisations and individuals to improve relevant issues. It promotes the development of mesothelioma support groups. Mesothelioma UK has a national free phone helpline which provides access to timely, accurate and relevant advice for patients, carers and health care professionals. A broad based website is available for UK mesothelioma patients and their carers. the website provides links to other useful sites. Mesothelioma UK runs a yearly 'Patient and Carer Day' where patients and health care professionals can come together to discuss and deal with all aspects of mesothelioma.
Caring Matters Now - The Congenital Melanocytic Naevus Support Group
Caring Matters Now Support Group provides support to sufferers of Congenital Melanocytic Naevus, raises much needed funds for research into this rare condition and works to raise awareness in the medical profession and public. CMN's are disfiguring brown birthmarks that appear on varying parts of the body at birth and can cover up to 80% of the body capacity. In addition there are associated medical complications such as effects on the brain and nervous system as well as increased risk of malignant melanoma.
Children's Burns Trust
We are a national charity dedicated to providing rehabilitation support for burned and scald injured children and their families as well as prevention and awareness campaigns for which there is little or no national funding. We make a positive difference in three ways: Working with others to raise the awareness of burns and scalds including PREVENTION campaigns. Working with NHS professionals to provide direct help and funding for REHABILITATION. Giving direct financial SUPPORT to families and hospitals and providing advice on how to access burn related information A burn injury is for life. Being burned or scalded as a child means years of painful treatment and in the worst cases hundreds of operations to release the scar tissue as they grow. The psychological impact of a burn injury is also immense, particularly when burn survivors reach their teenage years and have to cope with self image and self confidence issues. We are the only UK children’s charity working nationally who are devoted solely to these areas.

Cycling 485 miles. 6 countries. 6 days. 80+ miles a day. Our Ten Metro Safety heros are back safe and sore (!) after cycling 500 miles through 6 countries in 6 days ! This is a tremendous acheivement and has been incredibly painful but is just part of Metro Safety's campaign to raise £20,000 4 Good Causes during our 25th anniversary year. We would like to thank everyone for their kind support and great generosity.

Begins in Saarbrücken, Germany. Finishes Trafalgar Square in good old Blighty. France, Luxembourg, Belgium and Holland will be cycled through.

This is no jog around the park but a significant challenge for a group of work colleagues whose combined age is not far off the total distance!

Our campaign is to raise at least £20,000 for these 4 really Good Causes - please give as generously  as you can.

Thank you.

Please support our heroes and heroines
