5th Dartford Scout Group - 5th Dartford Scouts is fund-raising for a new hall. The current hall was built by the Scout leaders and parents in 1960, seeing fifty years of service the hall is showing signs of wear and tear with a number cracks in the structure. The hall is home of our 200 members consisting of nine sections 3*Beavers Colonies, 3*Cub Packs, 2*Scout Troops as well as the Explorers. We are used to fund-raising having recently built a target shooting/archery range and the climbing wall, however know we need to step up to the challenge of the new hall.

We are working hard to raise funds for a new Scouting facility for the benefit of our community and Scouts in North Kent.

The 5th Dartford Scouts Group is fund-raising for a new hall. The current hall was built by the Scout leaders and parents in 1960, seeing fifty years of service the hall is showing signs of wear and tear with a number cracks in the structure.

The hall is home for our 200+ members consisting of 3 Beaver Colonies, 3 Cub Packs, 2 Scout Troops and a flourishing Explorer unit. In our 95 years of continious Scouting - the longest in the district, we're used to fund-raising, having built a target shooting/archery range and our impressive climbing wall, which is used by Scouts from all over South London and Kent.

However, we have taken on the challenge to raise enough money to replace our tired hall with a state of the art Scouting facility, which will not only benefit the local community, but Scouts from all over the county for generations to come.

We have already been involved in Bag Packing, the London Marathon, Race Nights, Raffles, Catering at local events, Quiz Nights, Cycling from one side of the country to the other, Mystery Quizes and "777" a 7 marathon in 7 countrys over 7 days event and many other initiatives including requests for grants, applications for Lottery funding and direct mailing to local organisations and corporates with community programmes and we will continue in this vein until we have reached our goal.
