At the moment, it is estimated that there are approximately 800,000 homeless people in England. These are normal people from all backgrounds, perhaps people like you. There aren’t just homeless people on the streets, but people who are “hidden homeless”, living on a friend’s sofa, in unsuitable shared houses, or in B&B’s and hostels. Many of these people are also unemployed, with little hope of getting a job because they lack a permanent address, skills and confidence. Recycling Lives is a charity that helps to change a person’s life. Recycling Lives offers a home, qualifications and training, work experience and a future. Furthermore, training opportunities are predominantly in the environmental and recycling sector, creating a skilled workforce, ready to combat climate change. People come to Recycling Lives with the desire to change their circumstances. By giving the right opportunities and support, we enable Residents to turn their lives around.
