LOROS Hospice provides specialised palliative care for terminally ill patients and their families along with a wide range of vital supporting services, free of charge. LOROS strives to improve quality of life by alleviating stress and pain and providing for the specific needs of the individual. Physical, emotional and spiritual support is given to patients and their families.

The boys raise for LOROS
Hello everyone and thanks for visiting our site!
In Nov 2008 Aaron lost his mum at an early age of 55 to cancer. It was a massive shock to Aaron and his family because there was only 10 days between finding out his mum had cancer, to the day she passed away. However, the care that LOROS provided to Anne during her time at the hospice was first rate.
Aaron wanted to thank LOROS for the way they cared for his mum and so together with his best friends, Aaron, Jason & Lee have decided to try and raise over £6,000 in Anne's memory.
So, how are we gona do that?
Well the boys have entered the 2012 London Marathon and are planning a number of fundraising nights & collections.
What we've been up to!
Leicestershire County Council held a charity football match and raised £130!
We've been to Shackerstone Family Feastival on 3rd & 4th Sept and had a stall which raised just over £500! (see the photos)
Sold sweets, popcorn & candy floss at LOROS's 'Walk on the Wildside' on Sunday 18th Sept raising around £30
We're been at the LOROS firework & bonfire night doing a 'penny for the guy' collection on 5th Nov - Not the greatest success, but 'everypenny counts'.
We've sold/ continue to sell cakes to the staff of WYG Leicester & Leicestershire County Council - Jason being the head chef which seems to be getting the thumbs up fromm WYG & LCC.
Held a race night on Friday 25th Nov at County Hall sports & social club. We had a great time, the kids loved it and the auction went mad! And, we raised over £850!!!
On Sunday 27th Nov, we held a bucket collection at Leicester RaceCoarse and raised just short of £60.
Name the Christmas bear competition raised over £60.
The bucket collection in Leicester City Centre on Sunday 11th December rasied £153.
Bucket collection at ASDA fosse park Leicester on Saturday 7th Jan 2012 raised over £400!
What's next?
The Lads Raise for LOROS draw, raffle! Tickets now on sale from the Lads! Top Prize, a weekend away for two! This will be drawn at the event on 3rd March below.
Saturday 3rd March 12 - 'Formal dinner dance' with 3 coarse meal, after dinner guest speaker 'Peter Jones' and live band 'epic' to complete the night in Syston. Tickets just £25pp (tables of 8 or 10).
Saturday 15th March 12 - Bucket collection at the Highcross Shopping centre Leicester.
22nd April - London Marathon - Sponsorship very welcome.
Mr T's bungee Jump - Summer 2012 (date to follow).
