Charities

The Prostate Cancer Charity
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and one man dies of it every hour in the UK. The Prostate Cancer Charity is the UK's leading charity working with people affected by prostate cancer. We are fighting prostate cancer on every front - by funding and encouraging research, providing support and information for diagnosed men, and their friends and family, and we campaign to improve the lives of men with prostate cancer. We provide the most comprehensive range of services of all the prostate cancer charities and offer the only UK-wide prostate cancer Helpline supported by specialist nurses who provide free and confidential information and support to anyone affected by prostate cancer. Your support could help save men's lives.
Oxfam
Oxfam GB is a leading international NGO with a worldwide reputation for excellence in the delivery of aid and development work. Our purpose is to work with others to overcome poverty and suffering. Oxfam GB is a member of Oxfam International.

Many thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

I made it!

On the 21st of April I completed my coast to coast bike ride of 140 miles from Workington, via Shap, to Redcar. It took me just under 10 hours in the end. (By 1 minute!)

A special thanks must go to those who made it possible: Paul Brittleton, Paul Tuson and Billy Procter, and of course Mum and Dad for the lift back!

Many thanks to all those who have donated so far. Both Oxfam and the Prostate Cancer Charity are very worthy causes, and I really appreciate your support.

All the best

Alastair
