My page:

Dear All
Thank you for taking the time to visit our page. We would like to invite you to help us support the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign and explain why it is so important to sponsor this charity's essential and life changing work.

From Jonathan:
Hi! I'm a 27 year old PhD student with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I don't let my changing and progressive condition get in the way of my activities and aspirations. I was named the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign person of the year in 2010. I was then inspired to get involved in their young persons' Trailblazers campaigning network which gave me the confidence to not only speak about the issues that face many young people with disabilities but also to work towards their constructive solutions. You can find out more about me and the Campaign's work on the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's Trailblazers blog and the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign's website:

Muscular Dystrophy Campaign helps people like myself enjoy a higher quality of life than would have previously been possible. This is thanks to their support of advanced research into the the various forms of muscular dystrophy and related conditions, as well as the many services they offer to people affected by them and their families. It would be great if you could help the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign in their work today and also to be there to offer hope for tomorrow. Thank you for your interest.

From Albertyna:
On 13 April 2014 I will be swapping my academic papers for a pair of trainers and joining the rest of the 35 000 runners making an effort to complete the famous London Marathon. It will be my first time tackling this distance and also first time undertaking such a large scale fundraising action. I'm training hard and very much counting on your support. I will be grateful for every donation. Every penny counts.

Since I met Jonathan in 2008 I've been inspired by him in general and his attitude in the face of his Muscular Dystrophy. Due to his example, I am now committed to supporting individuals with this and related conditions as well as raising the public awareness about them.

A few words about Muscular Dystrophy Campaign:
The Muscular Dysrophy Campaign is the leading UK charity focusing on muscular dystrophy and related neuromuscular conditions. It supports the individuals with these conditions and their families. The Campaign funds advanced research into finding treatments and cures. They raise awareness of the condition within society and educate health professionals and help pay for specialist equipment such as wheelchairs. The Campaign is a charity which relies almost entirely on voluntary donations to support their work. To find out more please see their website.
