SPORTS AID TRUST
SportsAid is the charity for sports people, helping the next generation of British sporting talent to succeed. For over 30 years, SportsAid has financially supported talented, young sports people when they need it the most, at the start of their journey to international success. SportsAid is the first organisation to recognise their talent, often when Mum and Dad are their only sponsors. Young athletes, both able-bodied and those with a disability, are nominated to SportsAid by their sport’s own national governing body (NGB). This ensures the right athlete is helped at the right time, and in the right way. It is a proven and established process that makes a genuine difference. Many of Britain’s most successful athletes have been helped on their journey by SportsAid: Redgrave, Radcliffe, Grey-Thompson, Holmes, Hoy, Adlington, Wiggins, Ohuruogu, and many more. By raising money in the name of sport for the benefit of sport, we ensure the next generation has the backing they need to reach the same heights.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. When I climbed to the sumit of Kilimanjaro I swore to myself I'd never do another physical challange again, three days later and slightly euphoric, I decided to take up running.

Running a Marathon is honestly something I didnt think I'd ever want to do but a few weeks into my training plan and I've got the bug. I got a place through Sports aid. They help young British sportsmen and women to achieve their ambitions by supporting them during the defining early years of their careers. It's a proven and established process that makes a genuine difference. At the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, 18 of Britain’s 19 gold medals were won in events that involved SportsAid athletes.

Thanks for taking the time to donate and helping me run my first Marathon!
