The Prince's Trust
The Prince's Trust gives vulnerable young people the skills and confidence to stabilise their lives. We help them overcome barriers such as homelessness, poverty, offending and mental health problems. Together we can help young people towards the future they deserve - not the one they ended up with. Together we can save young lives.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Limited.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is dedicated to funding research to find the cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.

On 30th June 2012 I will undertake the Three Peaks Challenge   - this means climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (and travelling between the three) all within 24 hours. This is going to be a huge undertaking for me both physically and personally - lots of (uphill) walking, sleep deprivation, navigating Scafell in the dark, managing blood sugars etc.

As many of you will know, I was originally due to do this challenge in September 2011. Unfortunately, I was unwell with glandular fever and so had to pull out at the last minute which was hugely disappointing. The glandularfever knocked me out for a few months but since then I have been working hard to recover my fitness and be ready to do the challenge this June.

I'll be doing an awful lot of training between now and the challenge including hill walking (not the easiest of past times in Norfolk) and long  gym sessions. At least once a week I will be exploring Norfolk's countryside with a long training walk, and looking for volunteers to join me in this.....

I am doing this both as a personal challenge, and also to hopefully raise some money for two charities that are both very important to me - JDRF and The Prince's Trust. If you can spare some money to show your support I would be really grateful, of course you can also show your support by joiing me on my walks as well.....!

Thanks everyone!
