LOROS Hospice provides specialised palliative care for terminally ill patients and their families along with a wide range of vital supporting services, free of charge. LOROS strives to improve quality of life by alleviating stress and pain and providing for the specific needs of the individual. Physical, emotional and spiritual support is given to patients and their families.

Iron Man to Mountain Man
Hi, thanks for visiting my page, hopefully you'll leave having pledged some money for a very worthy cause!
Don't forget there are two challenges:
1) Iron Man Switzerland. On the 25th July I will be taking part in my first (and only?!) Iron Man. For those who need reminding of the distances it is 3.9km swim, 180km bike ride and a marathon to finish. I hope to complete the race in less than 12 hours but if I’m not back in the office by the following Friday can someone please come and look for me.
2) A ski descent of the 8th highest Mountain in the World. Ok, as everyone keeps reminding me I need to climb it first .... so at the end of August I will be leaving for a 6 week expedition to Nepal with the aim of climbing Manaslu (8,156m) and skiing from the summit. I’ll be going with www.dream-guides.com and being led by Kenton Cool who has just submitted Everest for the 8th time, if anyone can get me there he will! Is it safe to ski? I honourably let his business partner Guy Willet test that for me last year, becoming the first Brit to do so.
