WSPA’s vision is of a world where animal welfare matters, and animal cruelty ends. WSPA has been promoting animal welfare for more than 25 years. Our work is concentrated in regions of the world where few, if any, measures exist to protect animals. WSPA’s work is focused on four priority animal welfare areas: Companion animals, Commercial exploitation of wildlife, Farm animals and Disaster management.

Hello! So there's been a bit of an alteration.... during training my knees decided that they - pathetically - weren't capable of dealing with long distance running, caused me pain, and packed in. I'm still fundraising but for the nudeynudeybicycle ride through London next year (just missed 2010's). My knees will very much enjoy it - I couldn't say as much for my nether region but there you are. Being a technophobe however, I'm stuck on how to change the event details on this page. I'm not even sure it's possible. So apologies for that.
WSPA (World Society for the Protection of Animals) is an amazing charity that has been running now for more than 25 years. It focuses on several aspects of animal welfare: commercial exploitation of wildlife including blood sports such as whaling and bullfighting, - how these still exist is completely beyond me - disaster treatment/rehibilitation, farming - intensive farming, long distance transportation and slaughter, and companion animal suffering including cruelty prevention.
The WSPA also provide animal welfare education programmes in Central and South America, Africa and Asia where they teach children to develop compassion, a sense of justice and respect for animals and people.
All of these are just as important as eachother and just the slightest bit of money can do a world of good. I'm finally getting off my ass (or on it, i guess) and doing something pro-active about it by attempting a Lady Godiva in a not so elegant fashion.... so please please help me I appreciate so much any donation that is kindly offered.
