ARC provides non-directive information and support to expectant & bereaved parents who: - are given a worrying antenatal test result - are told that their unborn baby may have an abnormality - may have difficult decisions to make about the future of the pregnancy as a result ARC provides training and information to health professionals ARC provides information and support to all family members
Miscarriage can be a very unhappy, frightening and lonely experience, The Miscarriage Association makes a positive difference by offering support, providing information, encouraging good care and raising public awareness about the facts and feelings of pregnancy loss.
For over 30 years Sands has supported many thousands of families whose babies have died, offering emotional support, comfort and practical help. We have also worked with health professionals to revolutionise the way in which bereaved parents and their babies are cared for. In spite of medical advances, the tragic fact is that 17 babies a day in the UK are stillborn or die within the first twenty eight days of life. The equivalent of 16 fully-laden jumbo jets crashing every year, with no survivors. We have therefore launched our Why17? campaign to raise awareness of the 17 babies dying every day in the UK and to raise much needed funds towards research which could provide further information on why so many babies are dying.
Ectopic pregnancy affects as many as 1 in 80 pregnancies in the UK, with as many as 30,000 occurring in England alone, and sadly resulting in the death of around 5 women each year. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust provides information, education and support to those whose lives are touched by the condition and to the professionals who care for them. We receive no government of core funding and rely entirely on third party donations and fundraising to deliver our services which are free at the point of delivery. Visit http://www.ectopic.org.uk for more information on the condition and to find out about other ways you can help.
