Charity
United Through Sport is a UK registered charity dedicated to encouraging disadvantaged individuals and communities to develop to their full potential in sport, education and health. United Through Sport is motivated by two core beliefs: 1. Every man, woman and child is entitled to participate in sport and should be enabled to do so 2. Sport is a unifying force for good and should be used to promote community cohesion and personal wellbeing around the world

Bhubesi Pride
A UNITED THROUGH SPORT PROJECT: At United Through Sport, we believe every man, woman and child has the right to play sport. Sport has the ability not only to promote fitness, self-esteem and fair play, but also to deliver opportunity, choice and hope. However, for many living in poverty or isolation, access to sport is a privilege not a right.
United Through Sport's project is called: BHUBESI PRIDE'S TRANSAFRIQUE 2012. Focusing on the charity's core values, we aim to use rugby and sport as the platform for long-term community development in Africa.
A highly qualified team of volunteer coaches will drive from Cheltenham (UK) to Cape Town (SA) over 6 months, from January 2012, making week-long educational visits at 15 schools and communities in ten African countries, further establishing international school partnerships. 2012 is set to be the start of a three-year sustainable programme.
The objectives are as follows:
To UNITE African children (boys and girls) through sport, addressing health and social education and donating rugby and sports equipment
EMPOWER local coaches and teaching staff (male and female), providing coaching guides and leaving a rugby legacy
INSPIRE: Using the expedition as a platform to generate long-term school LINKS; leading to sustainable development in African schools
