Spinal Research
fighting paralysis ... and winning Spinal Research is the only UK-based charity dedicated to funding spinal injury research on an international scale.
RFU Injured Players Foundation
We are Rugby Union’s charity, the Injured Players Foundation. With your backing, we look after seriously injured players for life and help prevent future injuries through research and education. Our mission is to be there for every seriously injured player, now and forever. And we must continue to make research breakthroughs to make the game safer and improve the care of those injured. But we need everyone that loves our great game to get involved. 100 percent of your support goes directly to injured players and prevention research, because the RFU cover all our admin costs. Please help today.

Andy Williamson,

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

During a recent match for Lymm Rugby Club, Alex “Bosh” Bennett fractured his 'C3' vertebrae in the upper spine. He suffered a great deal of spinal trauma and for a time had little sensation below the shoulders. The support from the rugby fraternity has been absolutely fantastic. This, coupled with Alex’s dogged determination and daily physio has seen him make tremendous progress. He can now move his legs and arms, and the spirit he shows is an inspiration to all who visit him.

David and I have decided to launch the Bosh Appeal 2012 to raise money for the Injured Players Foundation and Spinal Research. Please give generously to help raise money for these two great causes.

For the Bosh Appeal 2012 we are going to complete the Great North Run whilst pushing someone in a wheel chair. This is going to require some serious training, which will be a shock to both our systems, especially David’s. To help keep him motivated please give generously to help us reach our minimum sponsorship target of £2000 and hopefully a whole lot more

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
