The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives. The owner of this page is raising money in trust on behalf of the British Red Cross, it is the page owners responsibility to ensure that the British Red Cross is able to channell any money raised for a specific appeal or stated purpose, prior to any fundraising taking place. In the unlikely event that this dialogue has not taken place, then the British Red Cross will allocate the funds raised where ever the need is greatest in furtherence of its charitable objectives.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is dedicated to funding research to find the cure for type 1 (juvenile) diabetes, which strikes children suddenly, makes them insulin-dependent for life, and carries the constant threat of devastating complications.

Brandcast Girls Climb Ben Nevis!
On the weekend of 20th - 22nd May 2011 Kelly, Emily and Janki will climb the UK's highest mountain Ben Nevis in aid of The Wellington Appeal.
To help us raise money, our workmate Dan Conacher has offered to perm his hair, dye it ginger and cut it into a mullet if we make it to £1000. Details on Facebook (search Facebook Events for "Make Dan get a ginger mullet").
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
