Macmillan Cancer Support
We exist to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. Our primary focus is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.
Kankhal Medical Aid
A charity that raises funds to support a The Ramakrishna Sevashram - a hospital that works for and with the poor villagers of Hardwar, India. Their mobile dispensaries reach out with preventative medicines for malaria and tuberculosis - both of which are still prevalent in the area. The charity has no administration costs and all the funds are sent directly to the Hospital.

Please sponsor me to run the London Marathon 2013.

Having run the race in 2011, and failed to make the start line in 2012, I have two targets for improvement in 2013:

1. Beat my time (which should not be that hard, considering that I jogged round most of the course in 2011!).

2. Raise more money than I did in 2011 (a total of £6,220.54).

Whilst the first of these is down to me, the second is down to you, my generous sponsors. I was overwhelmed by the amount of money I was able to raise in 2011, but I am confident that I can do better this time round.

Here are the details:

I am raising money for two charities, both of which are close to my heart and both of which desperately need funds to continue their valuable work.  You can find out more about them by clicking on the links on this page.

Your contribution, however small, can make a real difference to the important work these two charities carry out, not least for the following reasons:

  • Google, my generous employer, has agreed to match any funds I raise with their own contribution.
  • The availability of Gift Aid (for UK taxpayers).
  • Virgin Money Giving operates on a non-profit basis, and only charge what they need to cover their operating costs.

Please give generously, and many thanks for your support.

UPDATE: I ran the race in 3:48:40, a result with which I am very happy, considering how hot the day was and that I have previously failed to get in under 4 hours.  Thank you all for your support, and it's not too late to donate!
