Charity
The e-Learning Foundation helps schools in the UK give the most deprived children in our communities’ home access to learning technologies. Our main objective is to ensure that disadvantaged children have the same opportunities to learn at home as their better-off peers, using a computer and the internet to support their studies. We believe that home access to learning technologies and resources will raise their aspirations and help them do better at school as well as encourage their parents to participate in their education.
Please note Virgin Money Giving isn't responsible for the content fundraisers post on their pages, but if you see something you feel is offensive or inappropriate, please let us know and we'll look into it.
Walt and Nick's 44 mile Classic Quarter
Welcome to Walter and Nick's fundraising page.
Following a few beers last New Year's Eve, Nick and Walt decided to enter the Classic Quarter Ultra Trail Marathon as a two-man relay team, taking place on Sat 26th June in Cornwall UK. The route (shown below) takes in over 44 miles of the South West coast path between the UK's most southerly and westerly points (Lizard Point to Land's End).
We're hoping to raise some money for two causes whilst taking part. On this page you can donate to the e-learning foundation, which is working with schools, parents and other stakeholders to reduce the “Digital Divide” for disadvantaged children. If you'd like to donate to our other cause (the Bristol Urological Institute, improving the treatment of urological cancers and conducting associated research), please visit http://www.justgiving.com/CQ-nick-and-wol.
Thanks a lot for your support!
