95-106 Capital FM's Help a Capital Child was founded in 1975 by Lord Attenborough CBE, as the radio station's charity, to assist and give opportunities to thousands of children and young people experiencing abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness.

Hello and thank you for visiting my page! My name is Chris Wheeler, Head Chef of Humphry's fine dining restaurant at Stoke Park. In a moment of madness I decided to enter Capital FM's competition to win one of ten special 'Help A Capital Child' charity places to run in the Virgin London Marathon 2013; and here I am!
I plan on running the marathon in an old set of chef's whites so look out for me and give out a shout of encouragement to get me to the end - if you come down to give support! With your help, I aim to raise £10,000 for HACC which supports children and young people affected by abuse, homelessness, disability, poverty and illness in and around London.
UPDATE: I will also be attempting to set a new Guiness World Record by being the fastest man to run a marathon carrying a stock pot weighing at least 3kg!
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
