Every hour, someone in the UK is told they have Parkinson's. Because we're here, no one has to face Parkinson's alone. We bring people with Parkinson's, their carers and families together via our network of local groups, our website and free confidential helpline. Specialist nurses, our supporters and staff provide information on every aspect of Parkinson's. As the UK's Parkinson's support and research charity we're leading the work to find a cure, and we're closer than ever. We also campaign to change attitudes and demand better services. Our work is totally dependant on donations. Help us to find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson's.

hey all
I have recently taken up running and a chum suggested I set myself a goal and worked towards running a 5K. Along came the spooky sprint which is a fundraiser for Parkinsons disease. As you know the old man (my dad) has been diagnosed with this and I thought this would be a great opportunity to raise money for the charity.
On Saturday 27 October me the kids and their cousins are going to take part in the spooky sprint, I'm running the 5K and they are walking a 1k fun run.
The aim is to raise £100 but if we smash that total it would be a bonus!
I did it! - 5k in 32.03 minutes - place 51 (i won't say out of how many!) I'm well pleased. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me - we've raised over £400 for Parkinsons UK including gift aid which is triple what I expected. So thanks - kids enjoyed the fun run too and are all proudly modelling their medals.
