Charity
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

Dogsledding Challenge 2013
Hi everyone!
First off, i would like to thank you all for taking the time to visit my fundraising page!
My name is Grant and i have been serving in the British army with the 1st Battalion The Coldstream Guards for the last 4 years.
On the 30th March 2013 i will be leaving the UK and heading for Northern Norway where i will travel 250km (130 miles) crossing the border into Sweeden,by Dogsled with a team of 4 Huskies, and ending 6 days later on the 6th April in Jukkasjarvi.
But before i get there, i need your help! i have a minimum target of £3995 to raise for Help for Heroes, you can help by sponsoring me for doing this challenge, no matter how big or small the donation, every penny will be greatly appreciated, not only by me but by our wounded servicemen and woman who have had life changing experiences and depend on donations from people like you, to get back on their feet! Please though, if you do sponsor me on here, tick the gift aid box, which will mean for every £1 you donate, 25p can be claimed by the charity from the taxman!
Also, all donations go straight to Help for Heroes, and none of the donations are being used to pay for me to go on the trip....all costs have been payed for by myself already! (If anyone was wondering)
You can also help by passing the link to this fundraising page around to friends and family.
I am taking part in this challenge, which is being run by Global Adventure Challenges on behalf of Help for Heroes. If you are not already aware, Help for Heroes is a charity which was set up in 2007 to help our wounded servicemen and woman. They have done this by raising money and completing a number of projects such as giving money for the new swimming pool and gym complex at Headley Court.
You can find out all about this and other projects by following the link below:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for your genorosity.
