West London Action for Children is a small, independent charity that provides therapy and counselling services for vulnerable children, and their parents, in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Kensington & Chelsea. Our mission is to help families draw on their strengths to overcome challenges and become the parents they want to be, with children who flourish. Our profesional team of counsellors and therapists offer help to over four hundred families a year. These families are affected by a range of issues including: abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, poverty, bullying, divorce, bereavement, emotional and relationship difficulties and the challenges faced by parents. We provide them with a specialist service for local children and families which is tailored to the needs of the individual.

Hi,
Thanks for visiting my page for the 2012 Virgin London Marathon.
It has always been an ambition of mine to run the London marathon and this year I have been fortunate enough to run on behalf of an amazing charity called West London Action for Children.
West London Action for Children offers a range of counselling and therapy services for children in need, and their families, in the London boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Kensington & Chelsea. They provide valuable support to families under stress to develop their confidence and skill to cope with the ordinary and extraordinary challenges of family life.
I’ve been training through many dreary evenings of wind, rain and snow through the winter months, but the big day is almost upon us!! Whilst training has been difficult so too will be meeting the ambitious target of £2000 and with this being a small independent charity every penny really does count!
