MapAction is a charity that provides life-saving information about disaster situations in the form of maps. Its highly-skilled volunteers play a vital role in helping to coordinate the national and international emergency response by gathering information. MapAction is the only non-governmental organisation (NGO) anywhere in the world with a capacity to deploy a fully trained and equipped humanitarian mapping and information management team, often within a few hours of an alert.

Thanks for visiting my Virgin London Marathon Fundraising page.
I completed this, my first ever marathon, on Sunday 22nd April in a time of 4 hours and 54 minutes. I am extremely pleased with this result!

I'm proud to have completed this challenge in support of a unique British charity that helps support the aid and emergency response to international humanitarian crises - MapAction. Although MapAction is always in the 'thick of it', it is not supported by income from the major public disaster appeals. This is a chance to do something about that!
