West London Action for Children is a small, independent charity that provides therapy and counselling services for vulnerable children, and their parents, in the boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham, and Kensington & Chelsea. Our mission is to help families draw on their strengths to overcome challenges and become the parents they want to be, with children who flourish. Our profesional team of counsellors and therapists offer help to over four hundred families a year. These families are affected by a range of issues including: abuse, domestic violence, mental illness, poverty, bullying, divorce, bereavement, emotional and relationship difficulties and the challenges faced by parents. We provide them with a specialist service for local children and families which is tailored to the needs of the individual.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page and hopefully sponsoring me!
In doing the London Marathon I wanted to support a local and worthy cause so I chose West London Action for Children which is a small charity working in West London. They offer free, specialist counselling and assistance to families on low incomes affected by many issues including: Domestic violence, separation, disability, learning difficulties, mental health concerns, gang culture, substance abuse, poverty, unemployment and poor housing. A very good friend of mine works very hard for the charity carrying out various fund raising events in their own spare time, I'm therefore hoping to help assist in raising the much needed funds in support to the charity.
