Run a Mile-a-Day for 2017 (run streak).

Chris Poole

My page:

Denise & Chris plan to run at least a mile-a-day for the whole of 2017. The challenge is called a “running streak”.  Definition being, run at least one continuous mile within each calendar day under one’s own body power

Sounds easy right!

We run our own business which often means 14 hours working days.

Have two children and family members to care for.

And finally have other running commitments such as marathons and ultras in 2017 which should mean rest days etc.   The missed rest days are going to be a huge factor in all this.

This is going to test our resolve to the limit.

What we hope to achieve from this madness is getting some of your lovely money donated. Taunton Mencap encourages its learning disabled members to make the most of their lives by providing social events and opportunities, comprising days out, parties, theatre trips, art/music sessions and ten pin bowling.  These activities promote social inclusion and help to prevent isolation for those living independently within the community.    A registered charity, Taunton Mencap relies entirely on donations, grants, members' contributions and fantastic fundraising efforts such as Chris's London Marathon run last year.

All donations - large or small - are gratefully received and donors can rest assured that their money will go towards furthering the range of activities Taunton Mencap is able to offer members in the forthcoming year

To show we are not having days off our progress can be track on these sites.
