Galloway’s Society for the Blind was established in 1867 and since then has evolved and developed to provide a range of services to over 7000 blind and visually impaired people across Lancashire and beyond. Operating from 4 Sight Advice Centres across Lancashire and with support groups throughout various towns and villages, the Society strives to reach out and provide an accessible local service. We pride ourselves on being big enough to cope but small enough to care. Galloway’s need to raise more than £800,000 every year to meet the cost of its existing services. The work is funded by the general public by supporting our own fundraising activities and through donations and legacies, along with support from local and national Charitable Trusts, PCTs and Lancashire County Council Adult & Community Services. We also acknowledge and appreciate the work of our 500 volunteers and fundraisers who support Galloway’s in so many ways and help us maintain our place as a good cause within the community. Galloway's Mission Statement:- ‘To enable people with a visual impairment to gain greater independence and minimise the effects of reduced vision’.

Hi Thanks for looking at my page.
I hope you can sponsor me as much or as little as you can! Everything sponsored will be earned very hard!
I normally do runs and things but don’t asked to be sponsored – but on this occasion (as a few people have asked me "why don’t I get sponsored, I’ll sponsor you?." So this time I thought I would do it for Charity!
Dont forget to sponsor me before my run in September!
P.S I know the picture of me should be of one of me running but I couldn’t find a decent one! Hopefully will get one at the Great North Run which I can use in the future
