Clanfield Challenge 2017's fundraising page

Ken Finlay

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Clanfield Joggers are a local running club who have combined with Clanfield Online to orginise the Clanfield Challenge on 14th May 2017. The committee have agreed to adopt PSPA and the Rowens as the charities to benefit from any donations from participants and fundraising.

Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) is a Parkinson’s-like neurological condition caused by the premature loss of nerve cells in certain parts of the brain. Over time this leads to  difficulties with balance, movement, vision, speech and swallowing. Research suggests around 4,000 people are living with PSP in the UK at any one time. In its early stages, symptoms can resemble those of other neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, Stroke or Multiple System Atrophy, with the result that initial misdiagnosis is common.

Like many other chronic conditions there is currently no cure for PSP. However many of the symptoms can be managed to help you achieve the best possible quality of life.

The Rowens Hospice located in Purbrook is a local charity which provides specialist hospice care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to PSPA and Rowens charities.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Thank you Clanfield Challenge
