Villiers Park Educational Trust
Villiers Park Educational Trust helps able young people to reach their full academic potential and develop a passion for learning. We are committed to fair access -- enabling students from less advantaged backgrounds to gain places at leading universities. We have established the Mike Baker Memorial Fund, in honour of our former trustee. All funds raised will be used to help less advantaged young people participate in our educational activities. If you wish to contribute to this fund, please make a notation in the message box of the donation form. Thank you.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

UNIVERSITY CHALLENGE - an event in aid of Villiers Park Educational Trust's Mike Baker Memorial Fund

Education specialist consultancy Communications Management is raising money for Villiers Park Educational Trust, a charity that helps able young people to reach their full academic potential and develop a passion for learning. The work carried out by Villers Park allows students from less advantaged backgrounds to gain places at leading universities.  For more about what they do, click here.

We are raising money specifically for the Mike Baker Memorial Fund, established in memory of award-winning journalist and Villiers Park trustee Mike Baker. The fund works to keep Mike's memory alive and continue the work he so strongly believed in. Some of the funds raised are used to support the Active Journalism courses for Year 12 Scholars, whilst the rest of the monies raised are used to recognise and reward those Scholars that have demonstrated exemplary attainment, attitude, manners, contribution, attendance nad progress each academic year.

We have set our staff a challenge; on the 13th May 2014, they are tasked with splitting into teams and visiting as many London universities as possible within a day. We hope to raise much needed funds to support the work of Villiers Park, and also plan to use the opportunity to highlight the barriers to educational access faced by students whom Villiers Park supports.

Please sponsor us to help us ensure that young people are able to succeed - any amount will be very welcome.

What Villiers Park students say about their experience and the opportunities it has given them

"This week was one of the best of my life.  I met people similar to me, who I actually like.  The passion of both the teachers was also easily visible.  Many more people should get this opportunity. This is the best." - A student on the 2013 Mathematics Year 12 'Inspiring Excellence' course

"It makes you feel good about yourself being on this special programme. I have enjoyed meeting new people from different schools." - Ali, Scholar

"Villiers Park has broadened my thinking and shown me the path I need to go down to get to where I want in life." - Sam, 15, Scholar

"It is great being a Scholar - a completely different experience to any that I have had before. I feel very privileged to be one because not many have this chance. I have really enjoyed meeting new people and going to universities and colleges." - Thomas, 15, Scholar

What your money would pay for
