Charities
The NSPCC's purpose is to end cruelty to children. Our vision is of a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential. We seek to achieve cultural, social and political change - influencing legislation, policy, practice, attitudes and behaviours and delivering services for the benefit of all children and young people across the UK and Channel Islands. In September 2008, the NSPCC launched its Child's Voice Appeal to answer more children's cries for help. Every day, thousands of children and young people need to talk to ChildLine about a problem they face, while hundreds of caring adults call the NSPCC Helpline, worried about a child's safety. With the help of people like you, ChildLine and the NSPCC Helpline are already there for thousands of children and young people, but many more need our help. We rely on the generosity of the general public to continue our work.
Right To Play programmes aim to improve the lives of children affected by poverty, war and disease. We work closely with communities to set up sport and play programmes designed to teach important skills including leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, self-esteem, communication, commitment, respect and fair-play. The network and infrastructure we set up enable local communities to take ownership of the programmes, leaving a long lasting impact.

Hairy Days for the Doncaster Rovers Team
Hi Everyone, thanks for visiting our page. We really appreciate any donations you are able to give to help us raise as much money as possible and hopefully be successful in reaching our target. If you have been to a game recently and wondered why we were all looking so dishevelled keep reading this and you'll will find out why!
Throughout March our Doncaster Rovers football team, managers and staff have agreed to put down the razors and go ‘au naturale’ for our two charities. We have agreed not to shave until the 'shave off' which will take place at the end of the month with local barber shop Harringtons of Bawtry.
As a team we are excited to be getting involved with two great children's charities and making a difference. Our Manager Sean O'Driscoll said, "We are thrilled to be doing this for such worthwhile charities, we hope we can raise a large sum of money that will be used to benefit the lives of many children. We’ve got our own sweepstake going for the hairiest member of the team, all proceeds of which will be donated."
Thanks again for any donation, however small.
See you soon!
The Doncaster Rovers Football Team
Please note that all money raised will be split evenly between both charities.
The NSPCC (The London Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) was founded in 1884. Its aim then was to protect children from cruelty, support vulnerable families, campaign for changes to the law and raise awareness about abuse.
Right to Play is an international charitable organisation that aims to improve the lives of children in some of the most disadvantaged areas of the world by using the power of sport and play for development, health and peace.
