Emunah provides successful solutions to the ever changing needs of Israel’s most deprived and vulnerable children. Emunah offers a safe, nurturing refuge with a combination of expertise, tender love and care, based on timeless Jewish family values. Emunah in the UK currently raises funds to support 36 projects in Israel.

2013 Virgin London Marathon

21 April 2013

The Virgin London Marathon is one of the great British sporting events, combining elite athletics, mass participation and record-breaking fundraising in one race. The course is a gruelling 26 miles 385 yards long, passing through the streets of London from Blackheath to the famous finish line at The Mall.

Last year in honour of my 40th Birthday I decided to compete in an Ironman Triathlon and I used the opportunity to raise money for two charities, one of which was Emunah.  I completed the Ironman in 12hours and seventeen minutes. 

For my 40th Birthday a number of my running friends arranged a Suprise Birthday Run.  We ran 40Km for 40 years.  The route took us from our home city Modiin to the Palmachim Beach on the Mediteranean Sea where our wives and children were waiting for a Breakfast Beach Party.

Whilst still in my 40th year I am carrying on my celebrations whilst helping a very worthy cause.  I aim to run 4 marathons in 4 months, each one in less than 4 hours.

Tiberias Marathon - January 10 2013 - Completed in 3 hours 13 minutes

Jerusalem Marathon - March 1 2013 - Completed in 3 hours 38 minutes

Tel Aviv Marathon - March 14 2013 - Unofficial Tel Aviv marathon in place of cancelled Tel Aviv Marathon - Completed 3 hours 29 minutes

London Marathon - April 21 2013

I will again be running in aid of Emunah and their important work at Neve Landy in Even Shmuel near Sderot in Israel.

I would like to thank British Emunah for giving me the opportunity to run the London Marathon.
