Charities
Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing, totally free, to give people with terminal cancer and other illnesses the choice of dying at home, supported by their families. It runs nine Marie Curie Hospices across the UK offering free specialist care for patients and support for families. The charity conducts palliative care research to find better ways of caring for terminally ill people and also funds scientists who investigate the causes and treatments of cancer. Charity Registration No 207994 (England & Wales) and SC0 38731 (Scotland)
Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. "It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes."

Steeno's fundraising page
Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
On Sunday August 1st , I will make the trek to Bolton to take part in Ironman UK. For those who dont know it is a triathlon comprising a 3.8km swim, 190km bike ride all to get to a 42.2km marathon at the end!
My aim is to raise moneyfor two wonderful charities who do so much to support people in their hour of need.
Firstly Marie Curie Cancer Care - They do so much to help cancer suffers and their familes and the second charity is Help for Heroes, a wonderful cause to help our troops and their families.
I hope you are able to give something, no matter how small, to help me raise monies for two very worth while causes.
Thanks for taking the time to help me help others....
