The Sabre Charitable Trust is a small charity working on a big issue: Education. Through our Whole School Improvement Programme we are working with the local education authorities to make school a better place for Ghanaian children and encourage them to stay in education for longer.

Dom's Beast in the East
Final Update: Well I survived!! I must admit that the course was a lot steeper than I'd ever imagined and seriously treacherous in places due to the dried tyre ruts, but I'm glad to say that all the Sabre runners made it round in one piece.
A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, I have posted a video about our Dwabor project below, so that you can get a better understanding of how the funds will help. Overall Team Sabre has raised more than £2,200 through this event, which is quite fantastic.

Stop press... only four (4!) days to go and I'm finally back in training having been laid up by viruses for the last three weeks. 20km in the last 3 days, but I still haven't managed the full 10km, in the words of young Raffy... uh-oh! All and any donations massively appreciated : )

According to the folks at Grim Challenge they've found a new course worthy of the GRIM name! Swanley Motocross track is very muddy and very hilly - it was designed for two deep tread tyres but I'll be doing it on two wobbly legs instead!
After ploughing through 1.8km of mud, sand and hills on one of the country's best motocross circuits, I'll then head off for a 6.4km circuit through local woodland before returning for a final soul destroying circuit of the track - all in all 10kms of mud and hills!
My cross country school days are a distant and blissful memory, but I am jolting myself out of retirement to raise some much needed funds for Sabre's kindergarten construction programme in Ghana.
By signing up I hope to galvanise others to sign up and join me, but if you aren't brave enough to take on the Beast in the East, please do consider sponsoring me with whatever you can to help ease the pain.
