Hi, thanks for visiting my page.
As many of you will be aware my Dad has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumour. As you will see from the attached photo he has always been pretty active and I can't remember him ever having a day off work through being ill. He has fallen off his ladder and been knocked off his bike from time to time - but has generally been the healthiest person I know, so this disease has hit pretty hard.
My Mum and Dad are already in contact with their MacMillan nurse, who will be there to help and support them through what will undoubtedly be a very challenging time.
Many of you will have donated to MacMillan in the past, and most of you have given money to them via my fundraising pages over the past three years as I have put my body (well certain parts of it anyway) through hell in completing this gruelling challenge involving cycling a distance of 81 miles with a total ascent of 6,393ft. Each year I have attempted to break the 4 hour barrier but punctures, some due to thoughtless locals, have prevented me from acheiving this goal. Hopefully this year I will finally crack it.
If you have any spare pennies in what I know are challenging financial times, I am sure you will agree that MacMillan are a worthy cause and will appreciate anything you can afford.
