Helen Rollason Cancer Charity - Helen Rollason MBE was the first female television sport presenter, a broadcaster and a fundraiser. She was diagnosed with cancer of the colon and later of the liver and lungs. She fought an inspirational battle with her illness, much of it in the public eye, but died in August 1999. While being treated for her illness, Helen became aware of how little support was available to people with cancer. She felt people should be treated as whole - emotionally and mentally - as well as medically. As a result, the charity which continues her legcay to this day, funds vital research into the illness and provides a network of cancer support centres. London Triathlon 2010

The 2010 Challenger World London Triathlon, the world’s largest triathlon, will see 14,500 competitors participate at this year’s event. 55,000 spectators will line the course that takes in some of London’s most famous landmarks including Big Ben, The London Eye and Tower Bridge. As you can see, I'm doing the London Triathlon on August 7th on behalf of the Helen Rollason Cancer Charity - a very worthy cause.

The event is a 750 meter swim, 20k bike ride and 5k run.  See my tweets on the bottom left to check out the latest progress!

Training is in full swing - and fundraising is going very well!  I'm well over Half-Way now with the recent addition of a work Bake Sale and Fundraising BBQ!

The goal is £600 - Thanks so much to everyone who's donated so far!
