Charity
Capricorn Animal Rescue hs been established since 1983 and takes in all types of animals and birds. Unwanted, orphaned, abandoned and abused. On 1st January 2010 we had 269 animals and birds in resdience, 42 different types. We re home and release as many as possible, neutering, inoculated and identi chipping where appropriate. We have a constant struggle to raise funds for this work, our vet bill is over £2,500 each month and in 2010 we are committed to upgrading and rebuilding the Sanctuary, creating housing specifically for each different type of animal or bird.

Never too old ...
Home again after the Marathon weekend. I did all 26.2 miles, but was absolutely shattered after 17 and crawled to the finish in a disappointing 3.51.22 - a full 10 minutes short of my target time.
It was just the wrong day for a record-breaking attempt. When I got up at 7.00 on Sunday morning, I'd rather have gone back to bed than dragged myself round the course. But I gave it a good go - and other than the slow time, it was a great day.
Many thanks to everyone who sponsored me - your contributions will I'm sure be most welcome at Capricorn ...
I'm running in the London Marathon this year, to raise money for Capricorn Animal Rescue.
Capricorn do wonderful work in caring for animals needing food, a home, medical treatment and love.
The Marathon is on my 53rd Birthday and I’m hoping to celebrate by running my best marathon time - so my target is to finish in under 3 hours 40 minutes.
As I’ll be 53, it would be great to raise £530 - though £5,300 would be even better. Whatever money is raised will be welcomed, as the animals at Capricorn are expensive to look after.
I’d appreciate you sponsoring me for whatever amount you can spare; doing it via Virgin Money Giving means that donations will be quickly processed and passed to Capricorn. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on Capricorn's behalf when donors are eligible.
Thanks for visiting - and for any donation you make.
Best wishes,
Eric
