Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for the six young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day. We build specialist units within NHS hospitals bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them. We want every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live. Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. Being treated alongside others their own age can make a huge difference to their whole experience. Teenage Cancer Trust also educates young people and health professionals about cancer to ensure a swift diagnosis and referral to specialist support. Cancer in young people is rare but we want young people to know the common signs and symptoms so they can seek medical advice if they are worried. We rely solely on donations to fund our vital work. You can help transform the lives of young people with cancer. Visit www.teenagecancertrust.org to find out how.

Route 66 Continuous Cycle Relay
In August 2015 four of us from Penarth will cycle the famous Route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica in the USA. However, this is not a sight seeing casual spin with stops for waffles and ice cream! [/b]
[/b]We plan to complete the 2400 miles in a continuous relay. One person will be cycling at all times, night and day to complete the distance in six days. That’s 100 miles a day, each. While someone’s riding the others will be following in a vehicle; sharing the driving, sleeping, eating or getting their bike ready for a swift change over. [/b]
[/b]We are all absolutely buzzing about taking on this challenge and will relish the opportunity to raise some funds for our chosen charity, Teenage Cancer Trust. When it’s 40 degrees, our bums are sore and our legs are like wood we promise to keep pushing on for this brilliant charity.[/b]
[/b]We are taking on this challenge in memory of Mark Green who sadly passed away in 2014. [/b]
[/b] A huge thank you from all of us for your support!
