The Richard Feilden Foundation: Education, Architecture, Africa
The Foundation's mission is to encourage and support educational projects in Africa, especially those requiring architectural input. It also aims to promote community involvement, and the use of African expertise and technologies in Africa’s educational and architectural development. The memorial fund was set up in January 2005, following the death of Richard Feilden, senior partner of Feilden Clegg Bradley and indefatigable champion of design quality and social sustainability within the field of architecture. The Foundation was launched at Richard's memorial in September 2005. We are a registered charity (our charity registration number is: 1113216). We are currently working on a secondary school in Uganda with PEAS (Promoting Equality in African Schools) and assessing potential projects in Africa. The trustees are Tish Feilden, Peter Clegg, Keith Bradley, James Wetz and Tim Joss.

On Sunday 22 May 2016, the Feilden Clegg Bradley Studio's Manchester team; Kate, Sophie, Yun, Simon, Simon, Peter, Adam, Pascal and Dom; are running the 10k Great Manchester Run and David is putting us all to shame and running the Copenhagan Marathon.

We have decided to raise money for a very worthy charity, The Richard Feilden Foundation which aims to improve the educational infrastructure, and the teaching and learning opportunities that are available for children and young people in Africa. If you would like to know more about their work you can visit the website,

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
